I'm sure I don't have to tell you that when you don't like condoms, you probably don't use them as consistently as you should. No, not at all.
Nowadays, condoms come in a mind-boggling variety. That may sound daunting, but finding that perfect one for you is worth it since it truly enhances your sex game. This is a new concept to most folks, who may have only tried the generic "one-size-fits-all" condoms offered in standard retail.
You might not know about some of the more recent advances in condom technology. These days, if you aren't making the connection between condoms and pleasure, you are likely simply wearing the wrong one.
Out-dated and erroneous beliefs such as "condoms are one-size-fits-all" and "all condoms are created equal" have gone unchallenged for far too long. It's time to bust those widespread condom myths once and for all.
Few people are taught that condom quality and condom fit are as essential to condoms as they are to any other intimate apparel.
What Condom Size Do You Need?
So it comes as no surprise that many couples through repeated, uncomfortable experiences have come to view condoms as, at best, a necessary evil. This, in turn, leads many to select simply the cheapest condoms available.
Why not just pick up a free handful at the local club or bar or buy those on clearance -- they're all the same, right? Wrong. So very wrong!
By using a well-fitting premium quality condom instead, you are making a surprisingly affordable and highly valuable investment toward greatly increasing your potential safer sex pleasure -- not to mention your safety.
Once you wrap your mind around this and experience the difference, you'll be opening up a whole new world of opportunities for highly pleasurable safer sex.
Internationally, the condom world is continually innovating. Nonetheless, you're not likely to have heard of some of the best condoms currently on the market.
You can now explore the very thinnest condoms available from Japan; a tasty line of vegan flavored condoms from Australia; condoms that vary from glow-in- the-dark to ribbed and studded from North America; as well as, the very best from all over Europe.
An exciting non-latex condom (stronger and more sensitive than any latex predecessor) has hit the market and is poised to set the bar for pleasure most thought impossible when wearing a condom.
And of course, there are also condoms that enhance pleasure and performance through the use of arousal or desensitizing lubricants.
How Do You Determine Your Partner's Condom Size?
Lucky Bloke carries a carefully curated selection of the very best condoms from around the world, offering the opportunity for condom users to experience and explore condoms they might otherwise never have easy access to, and allowing them to discover condoms that can take safer sex to a higher level.
Best of all, at Lucky Bloke, as well as theCondomReview.com, you can simply buy single condoms and try out a couple different varieties, without having to purchase entire boxes of unfamiliar new condoms.
Realizing that you never have to sacrifice pleasure for safety again will certainly improve your own sex life. And while that may be good enough for you, getting savvy about safer sex also has far-reaching global benefits.
As condom users discover they can have a dramatically improved safer sex, it leads to more consistent condom use. And when you think about the implications, it is clear that this kind of shift can have a huge positive impact on public health, easily saving thousands of lives.
The time for better, safer sex with condoms has arrived. If you don't love your condom, now's the time to stop settling for a mediocre, outdated experience. Empower yourself with this information and find a condom that you and your partner will truly enjoy.

Today, we bring you 5 of the Best Extra Large Condoms for Bigger Penises
Dear Lucky Bloke,
My guy is a great lover with a really big penis. We want to practice safe sex, however most of the condoms we’ve tried, either feel too tight or the condoms always break. What are the best XL condoms out there?
- Looking for Big Answers!
You and your partner are hardly alone. This is one of the most common questions we receive. Not only is it rarely talked about, but very few conventional retailers carry the great condoms that a truly endowed lover requires.
Pretty crazy though, when you learn that 15-20% of men actually, require a larger - more generous fit - condom. Most people who don’t enjoy condoms or experience discomfort (i.e., can't feel anything when wearing condoms, when using condoms hurts, or condoms breaking) are simply wearing the wrong size condom.
Using a premium condom that fits properly will make your experience safer – not to mention much more enjoyable – allowing you both to focus on what’s really important: giving and receiving pleasure.
Luckily, there are tons of sexy options for people who require condoms with a larger, more generous fit.
1. Lifestyles SKYN LARGE Condoms SKYN Large is the first larger premium condom made from polyisoprene – a scientifically formulated non-latex material that delivers ultimate sensitivity. Polyisoprene provides a softer, more natural feel than latex, combining the strength of latex with the sensitivity of a thinner condom. Ideal for people with latex allergies or latex sensitivity; however, do note: it is such a fantastic, confortable condom that many couples simply enjoy it over latex counterparts!
2. Glyde Maxi Condoms This state of the art large condom is designed to maximize pleasure for both partners. Ultrathin without compromising on durability, this is a generous and comfortable premium condom for the connoisseur who prefers a looser fit and wants to support a company that is sex positive, fair trade, and vegan certified.
3. Kimono MicroThin Large Kimono condoms are recognized worldwide as the ultimate in sensitivity and strength. Like wearing nothing at all, Kimono Microthin Large is one of the thinnest condoms available. MicroThin Large offers a longer shaft and more headroom. With Japanese state-of-the-art technology, Kimono has produced a very sophisticated, exceptionally reliable, and ultrathin premium latex condom for the man who needs more room. Please note: this condom runs larger than an average condom, but a bit smaller than a true large condom. If you need a bit more room, you'll LOVE this condom. If you need a lot more room, you'll likely be happier with another on this list.
4. ONE The Legend Condoms are wider and longer than a standard condom, allowing endowed men to reach their peak performance in ultimate safety and comfort. A unique, easy-roll shape features a little extra breathing room at the base and tip to enhance comfort. ONE has ensured a secure fit in the middle, so you can push your sexual limits with confidence. When choosing ONE you’re helping people in need. A portion of every purchase supports HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment efforts in Africa.
5. RSFU Okeido (Grande) Condoms RFSU is a premium line of luxury condoms imported from Sweden. Okeido (aka Grande) is a great option for those who find an average condom a bit snug. The silky, ultrathin condom is longer and wider with a secure base and a more spacious head. RFSU condoms are made of the highest quality latex, silicone lubricated and entirely vegan. Their natural latex is durable, yet maintains a soft and silky feel for both partners. RFSU exceeds international condom safety standards.

A sexy note: nitrile is a heat sensitive material that warms up and adheres to the vaginal walls during sex, leading to a more natural, pleasurable feeling for both partners.
Further, the FC2 is the only condom option that is available for couples, regardless of penis size. In fact, if you find that all condoms are always too small, the FC2 will work for you and is worth trying. "I can't feel anything, it's like a paper bag."
"I'm too huge for condoms -- they always break."
"Other girls never make me use them."
It might be understandable if these excuses were coming out of the mouths of teenagers, but as most sexually active women know, you're just as likely to hear them coming out of the mouth of most any professional, college graduate and on any first, second or third date.
No matter how high the stakes, most adult attitudes surrounding safer sex are formed (and stuck) back in high school.
If you've been reading the latest mainstream articles about the growing popularity of the 'pull-out method' with the well-educated, or (who could miss) the fervor over the sexualized escapades of Miley Cyrus dominating media, you probably already get my point.
It doesn't take a genius to point out that we, collectively, are in a lot of danger. Especially when you begin counting the number of sexual partners we've each had individually... and then add in the number of sexual partners we're likely to have over the next decade. Oh, and then multiply it with the partners our partners have had.
So, we've heard sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are aggressive and on the dramatic rise (*yawn*). But, you might wake up when you hear that experts predict that soon, 1 out of 2 sexually active people have or will have a STI (so, on average, that's you or your future partner). And did you know that most people who have one feel healthy at first, maybe even for a quite a long time, and don't know they're infected? That's neat. What kind of epidemic is it going to take to radically shift our collective thinking towards practicing protected sex?
When I'm at a cocktail party and 30, 40, 50-year-old men hear that I'm the CEO of Lucky Bloke (a purveyor of better condoms from around the world), the next thing to inevitably come out of their mouths, tinged with pride and bravado, is how they never wear condoms and how they excel at talking their way out of having to use them.
Stay classy, gents.
When you consider that in the last decade, AIDS cases in women over 50 are reported to have tripled (while heterosexual transmission rates in this age group have increased over 100%), you don't have to wonder what is on the horizon for those even more sexually active in their 30s and 40s.
Now, couple this with women confiding (at these same cocktail parties) that they feel slut-shamed if they carry their own condoms. They also share that invariably, when they are ready to have sex with someone new, these grown men arrive condom-less. In the best cases, they might manage a sheepish inquiry as to whether or not the women have condoms.
How do they get away with it? Well, because women let them.
Because we want them to like us.
Because their ubiquitous excuse is condoms suck.
Sadly, this concept is so pervasive that most anti-condom-users refuse to change their convictions. And most of us simply aren't prepared -- or lack the information and resolve -- to address that.
The truth is that condoms can indeed (absolutely and totally) suck. I won't begin to argue. I agree wholeheartedly.
But if this is the stance you cling to like a sinking ship, you're absolutely using the wrong condom.
A lot of guys are apparently so invested in disliking condoms that they're simply unwilling to broaden their perspective -- perhaps for fear of being proven wrong -- by finding a condom they love.
What guy isn't up for a little experimentation in the bedroom? Apparently, the line was previously drawn at condom test drives.
Through our own extensive global condom reviews and studies, we know for a fact that not all couples hate condoms. In fact, quite a few couples like them -- even before taking part in one of our international initiatives, which have resulted in 97% of participants finding a condom they love.
With percentages like that, condoms can't universally suck. So why would you want them to?
We've found that when men dislike condoms it is because they are:1. Wearing the wrong size condom (yes, here is how you find out your condom size)
2. Relying solely on free or cheap condoms
3. Honestly clueless about how to find the right condom for them (not to mention
their partner)
Guess what? Under those assumptions, you're totally right. Poorly chosen condoms can only be a let down of craptastic proportions.
But that's no excuse for ignorance. The fact is, there are many pleasurable, premium condoms on the market. And chances are, if you're in the League of Condom Haters, you haven't tried any of them. Luckily, it's not too late to save your skin -- and self -- from a sexually transmitted disease.
So, unless an STI is on your holiday shopping list this year, it might be time to shift away from negative thinking surrounding condoms.
So, where do you start?
1. When you're with a new partner demand they use a condom.
No guy is worth turning 25, 35... or 50 only to learn you've caught a STI. Lucky
for us, the majority of guys would rather have sex with a condom than not
at all. But sometimes you do have to take a stand.
2. Have your own condoms. Respect your body, health, and future.
And if you are dating/sleeping more than one person, get yourself a condom
sampler with a variety of condom sizes.
3. Make sure your partner is wearing the right size condom.
(Read this: How do I find out my partner's condom size?)
4. Explore condoms in your partner's size. It is actually a lot of fun.
There is no need to buy an entire box. You can buy single condoms or
condom samplers.
5. Use lube. Try it just once and it will improve your life with condoms
forever. Just like condoms, you can buy individual packets and lube
samplers before investing in a bottle you might not like.
It may take an army of strong, sexually savvy women to turn the tide on STIs, but guess what: we're too smart not to turn it. And with the right condoms, safer sex will be hotter than ever.
We'll know we've made progress when the next Miley Cyrus isn't licking construction equipment, but instead opts for her favorite flavored prophylactic.
But what we have come to realize is we don't spend near enough time discussing the fun and sexy personal lubricants that can add more than a little zing to your next encounter.
These days, personal lubricants are not only about helping with vaginal dryness, they have been updated to support you in reaching new heights of pleasure.
At theCondomReview.com, exploring personal lubricants has never been simpler. Now, buying premium lube (from around the world) is affordable, reliable and discreet!
We know sometimes it can be embarrassing to talk about lubricants, so read our primer and you will be a Lube Pro in a flash.
Let's start with the basics:
Did you know that you do not have to buy an entire bottle of lube?
Pillow packs (think travel size or sachet) are perfect for trying a new lube (or two)! Easy and compact for the jet-set
lifestyle! Another good reason to grab a few pillow packs and head for that tropical island getaway.

I know you may be (very) uncomfortable talking to your teen about safe sex. As a mom myself, I can assure you we've all been there.
Most parents are not comfortable thinking about their teens having sex, much less talking to them about it. Also, social norms and religious beliefs make things more complicated and more emotionally charged. However, I cannot stress this enough, this is most likely the most important conversation you will have with your teen ... as it has the power to truly save their life.
As responsible and caring parents, we share our opinions on a range of topics. We monitor media, teach healthy eating, and immunize our babies. But, once our children hit the teen years, a lot of parents clam up and don't know what to do or when to do it. It makes perfect sense, as very few if any of us were ever properly educated on condoms and sexual safety ourselves. But, it is up to each of us to break this pattern and the overall health of the next generation truly depends on it.
Now, you need to realize that you cannot rely on your child's school to talk to your teen about condoms and protecting themselves. And, avoiding talking about safe sex is not going to keep your teen from having sex. So, the best gift you can give is to arm them with the best information possible.
Here are three statistics you should know:
If you are struggling with your own comfort, my first suggestion (in making it more comfortable) is to make the conversation as non-personal as possible You will have an easier time talking to your teen about condoms and your teen is going to have an easier time listening if you are speaking in general terms.
Second, focus on the health aspect and impart information. If your teen isn't comfortable or ready to talk about this, save the need for dialogue for a different day. Below is an example of what I mean. Please take this concept and customize it for your own situation. I will use the name Tom, but in choosing a son, I'd like to add that this conversation is just as important for daughters, as females are often on the receiving end of guys' excuses about why they don't need condoms. I also recommend making notes, or at least have bullet points, so you are sure to cover all of the points you want to make.
Tom, I read something really surprising today and I want to share the information with you. I'd just like you to hear me out. I am open to answering your questions if you have any, but mostly, I'd just like you to hear what I have to say. I am sure that you have heard it is important to use a condom.
Then you would discuss the statisics I provided. For instance:
I was really surprised to learn that most teens think that you can visually tell if someone has an STI. This is absolutely not the case. Further, one out of every four sexually active teens currently has an STI, and one in two sexually active youth will contract an STI by age 25.
When I was young, most STIs could be treated with antibiotics, this is no longer always the case. Your generation is going to have to be very aware condoms and how to properly use them more than ever before.
Now, a recent international study by the Kinsey Institute found that 80% of condom users are improperly using condoms. I didn't even know that was possible. But it is pretty important to know, because if a condom user isn't wearing a condom properly it defeats the purpose.
The study also stated that the most common errors include putting on the condom too late and taking the condom off too soon, not leaving space at the tip, and using a non-compatible lubricant. I also learned that many of the errors are related to wearing the wrong size condom. I never knew there were three different sizes of condoms; I always thought one-size-fits all.
Anyhow, if the condom feels loose or slips around or it is too big it might be more comfortable and safer to use a slimfit condom. If the condom feels too tight and restrictive it is too small perhaps it would more comfortable and safer to use a larger condom. However, 50% of men can use the standard size condom sold in most stores and passed out at most schools and clinics.
When a man is wearing the proper sized condom, there is much less chance of becoming one of the 80% in the study. Also, sex is more enjoyable and safer when wearing the proper size condom.
Now I understand this might not be the easiest conversation you have ever had, but you are providing important information that is generally not offered in high school health class.
This first talk should begin to open the dialogue between you. I would suggest circling back. You may even want to consider sending your teen an email as well before the conversation to provide an overview of the most important information you wanted to share. This may give you both a little more space to insure that the information is properly shared and received.
If we can provide further information or support, Lucky Bloke offers a free Condom Concierge Service via email at getlucky@luckybloke.com. Our Condom Concierge is trained to offer comprehensive support regarding proper condom sizing, as well as sharing comparative information regarding product specifications and attributes. They are also very happy to support you as you navigate through any condom issues.

Dear Lucky Bloke,
I just turned 56 this month and after getting divorced a few years ago, have finally decided it is time to get back into the dating scene...and hopefully having sex - eeek! I was married to the same person for over 25 years, so when it comes to condoms I feel completely out of the loop. I’m pretty sure that the last time I purchased a package of condoms, George Bush, Sr. was still in office. Plus, at my age, I can't get pregnant. Do I even need to worry about condoms?! Lucky Bloke, I want to know - what’s the deal with condoms? Should I be using them? If yes, what are my best options?
Signed,
Ready to Mingle.
Dear Ready to Mingle,
Thanks so much for taking time to reach out to us. As condom experts, you've come to the right place – and we’re very happy to help!
To answer your question, if you’re having sex at any age, you should definitely use condoms! Even though safe sex for older adults doesn’t get as much attention in the media, the risks are just as real – actually, more so, as many couples who aren't concerned with pregancy are at higher risk for STDs.
According to recent research released by the Center for Disease Control, an estimated 16% of new U.S. HIV/AIDS cases are among those age 50 and older, and 25% of people living with HIV/AIDS are over 50. Not to mention, as an older adult you’re also still vulnerable to other STI’s like Herpes, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and Syphilis to name a few.
With that said, you should always keep condoms on hand if you’re thinking of having sex. Shopping for condoms can be a confusing experience (even if you buy them regularly)! However, when it comes to pleasure and comfort, the great news is that condoms have come a long way from the ones you remember. Also, what most people don’t realize is that condoms are not “one-size-fits-all.” Condoms actually come in three different sizes: small, medium and large.
To get you started on your new journey of amazing, safe sex, we would suggest checking out our Ultimate “Not Sure What Size” Condom sampler which feature a selection of some of the very best condoms available globally. This is the perfect starting point if you’re not sure what size condom you or your partner needs, or you just want to experiment with some of the most pleasurable condoms on the market. For added pleasure, we would also suggest checking out our Ultimate Lube Sampler. Like condoms, you’ll be very pleased to discover lube has come a long way since in the past 25 years! No matter your age, extra wetness increased pleasure and safety when it comes to condoms.
Lastly, the most important thing to consider is communication. Talking about sex and condoms before you get into the bedroom is crucial. Although having these conversation might be anxiety inducing at first, just keep in mind that unlike the “youngins” out there, as an older adult you’re armed with years of strength, wisdom and finely honed communication skills under your belt (no pun intended) In other words, you’ll be fine!
Your friends in pleasure and safety,
Lucky Bloke
PS If you would appreciate some personalized attention, our free Condom Concierge service is available via email.
Contact us at getlucky@luckybloke.com, and our Condom Experts will assist you in identifying the condoms and lube that are right for you. (No purchase necessary!)

]]>Dear Lucky Bloke, I’m super sensitive to chemicals and latex, yet I know using condoms is the smart thing to do. Do you guys have any suggestions for latex free condoms? Also, I’d really like to try lube but am afraid I’ll have a reaction to it. Would you be able to suggest something that’s good for people with sensitivities like mine? Signed, Sexy & Sensitive.
We understand that many people are sensitive to latex and other chemicals, which is why we have a great selection of condoms for people with sensitivities. Quality and personal fit are as essential to condoms as they are to any other type of apparel. What most people don’t realize is that condoms actually come in three different sizes: small, medium and large. Through our research, we’ve discovered that many people who dislike condoms are simply wearing the wrong size. To help you find the sexiest, most pleasurable non-latex condom option, we’ve broken down our 5 recommendations into small, medium and large.
1. Lifestyles SKYN Condom - This is the first premium condom made from polyisoprene – a scientifically formulated non-latex material that delivers ultimate sensitivity. Polyisoprene provides a softer, more natural feel than latex, combining the strength of latex with the sensitivity of a thinner condom. While it's ideal for people with latex allergies or latex sensitivity, many couples prefer them to latex condoms altogether. Combine that with a long lasting, ultra silky lubricant and you’re sure to be in for a smooth ride. Best suited for: Medium/Standard fit
2. FC2 Female Condom - When shopping for latex free condoms, many people don’t even think to consider purchasing the FC2 Female Condom, even though it’s a great option for both partners. Made of a strong, thin and flexible nitrile sheath, it has a flexible inner ring for easy insertion and is absolutely latex-free. A sexy note: nitrile is a heat sensitive material that warms up and adheres to the vaginal walls during sex, leading to a more natural, pleasurable feeling for both partners. The FC2 is the only NON-LATEX option that is available for couples, regardless of penis size. In fact, as there is no other LATEX FREE option for couples requiring SMALLER condoms, kudos to FC2 for providing a much needed solution. The FC2 is also a fantastic option for men who have difficulty maintaining an erection when using condoms. All in all it is a great condom to have in any woman's sexy arsenal. Best suited for: Couples, regardless of penis size.
3. TROJAN Supra Non-Latex Condom - Made of crystal clear, odor free medical-grade polyurethane, the TROJAN Supra (now renamed Supra Bare-Skin Non-Latex) are ultra thin and strong, making them an excellent option if you or your partner has a latex sensitivity or allergy and want both heightened feeling and sensitivity. They are very smooth, classic in shape and able to transmit body heat well. Best suited for: Medium/Standard fit
4. Lifestyles SKYN Large Condom - Like the original SKYN condoms we mentioned above, the SKYN Large is also made from polyisoprene – a scientifically formulated non-latex material that delivers ultimate sensitivity. However, Lifestyles have adapted the design of the condom so that it’s larger and more comfortable for people requiring a roomier fit. Best suited for: Larger fit
5. TROJAN Naturalamb Luxury Condom - A natural skin condom. Many couples swear by these condoms due to the ultra-enhanced sensitivity, durability, and size of the condom, as well as being latex-free. However, please note, because they are made of lamb intestine, they have a smell that may take getting used to and are not vegan-friendly. They're ideal for the monogamous couple, as while they prevent pregnancy – they will not protect you from HIV or other STIs. Best suited for: Larger fit, although will work for all sizes
Now for lubricant options...
Lubricant greatly enhances pleasure for both partners. Once a couple finds a lube they like, they rarely go back! Even if you have sensitivities, there are still plenty of lubes that you can try. We would suggest going with something that is made with natural ingredients. We “love” Good Clean Love’s Almost Naked Lubricant, a water-based lubricant formulated from premium natural and organic ingredients. Smooth and long lasting, no petrochemicals and no parabens will be found in this naturally good clean lubricant!
We would also recommend Sliquid Organics Natural Lube a glycerin and paraben-free organic water-based lubricant that has been blended with certified organic botanical extracts that heal and support the body. All Sliquid Organics products are formulated for women and will never cause UTI's or yeast infections. Organics Natural is made with the highest quality ingredients available. 100% vegan.
Now that you’re armed with some sexy non-latex condom options and some organic based lubes to explore, you’re all set for your sexy mission!
Yours in safety and pleasure,

Let us answer it so you can concentrate on having the hottest sex possible!
Dear Lucky Bloke,
Getting my boyfriend to use a condom is always a struggle. He says that he hates using condoms because they always feel like they’re going to slip off, which is totally distracting. Is there something wrong with him? I’ve never had this happen with another guy. Help! - Signed, Katy in Hoboken
Dear Katy!
First of all, congrats on taking the initiative to have safe sex - that’s awesome! Rest assured, there is nothing wrong with your boyfriend, or you for that matter. It sounds like he might be experiencing some issues with condom fit - a problem that is actually way more common than most people realize. Let us explain -
Contrary to what we’ve been lead to believe, condoms are not one-size-fits-all. What most people don’t realize is that quality and personal fit are as essential to condoms as they are to other personal apparel. Would you buy a shirt or a pair of shoes in the wrong size? Of course not. The same applies to condoms.
I think Cher from the movie Clueless sums it up best when she says, “You see how picky I am about my shoes and they only go on my feet.”
Most condom users don’t realize that condoms actually come in three different sizes: small, medium and large.
The R&D department at Lucky Bloke HQ has discovered that 70% of people who dislike wearing condoms are wearing the wrong size condom. When you (or your partner) are wearing a condom that fits properly, both of your pleasure, as well as your safety, is exponentially increased.
If your boyfriend finds that condoms are too loose and worries that they may slip and fall off, he may find a condom with a slimmer, more tailored fit to be much more comfortable and pleasurable to use.
On the flipside, if you or your partner find condoms are too tight or even painful, you might find one of Lucky Bloke’s larger condom brands is what you need.
Not sure exactly what size condom you need? No problem.
USE OUR HANDY CONDOM SIZE / PENIS SIZE CHART
You can easily figure it out - all you need is an empty toilet paper roll and your favorite erect penis to get started.
Insert the penis into the toilet paper roll and see how things fit -
• if there's extra room = SMALLER / SNUGGER FIT CONDOMS (best fit for 35% of men)
• just enough room = MEDIUM / STANDARD FIT CONDOMS (best fit for 50% of men)
• if it's too tight = LARGER / GENEROUS FIT CONDOMS (best fit for 15% of men)
There you go! Wasn’t that fun?!
Now that you know your perfect size, you’re well on your way to a radically improved relationship with condoms. Hooray!

Each Sunday night, the girls from the Research & Development department here at Lucky Bloke take a break from working hard to improve your sex life, to curl up in front of the TV and live vicariously through the 20-something misadventures of our favorite GIRLS - Hannah, Marnie, Jessa and Shoshanna.
Although most of the sex that occurs on GIRLS is awkward and cringe worthy at best, we can’t help but wonder how things would be different for these GIRLS if they had access to some of the world’s finest condoms available via our favorite destination for the very best condoms: theCondomReview.com.
Curious as to which condoms we’d suggest for these leading ladies? Check out our suggestions:
Hannah: Smart, quirky and often unlucky in love, when it comes to choosing boyfriends, Hannah is often drawn to unusual, oddball types. As a writer, Hannah is always in search of new experiences which is why we think she’d love the Billy Boy Beaded condom. One of Europe’s premium condoms, with packaging that has a cool, downtown vibe, the Billy Boy Beaded features a combination of microstuds and generous silicone lubrication to ensure a sensational ride for both partners.
Marnie: Beneath Marnie’s classic, pulled together and practical demeanor, we sense there lurks a sexy and spontaneous side, ready to be let loose given the right moment. When it comes to choosing a condom, we suspect Marnie would go for something sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing like the Kimono Microthin condom. Exceptionally reliable and made with state-of-the-art Japanese technology, the Kimono Microthin features slick silicone lubricant for an unmistakable “silky smooth” experience and a feeling like no other condom.
Jessa: Beautiful, British and free-spirited, Jessa’s travelled to as many foreign countries as she’s had boyfriends. With her globe-trotting, boho-luxe sensibilities, we think Jessa would be all over the ONE Tantric Pleasures condom. Tantric Pleasures, the first condom in the world created with a tattoo inspired texture for increased pleasure, is exotic and feels great - both inside and out. It comes in three different designs - Maori, Tribal and Titan - which are sure to satisfy your inner bohemian fashionista.
Shoshanna: Bubbly and slightly naive at first glance, Shoshana has the ability to stop people dead in their tracts with her timely and insightful one-liners. With it’s rosy hue and delightful, naturally flavored strawberry taste, the Glyde Strawberry Ultra Condom would be perfect for Shoshanna. It’s ultra girly, however with it’s uber thin comfort design and flavouring made of natural, sugar free, organic, fruit and nut extracts, this condom is anything but a wallflower. We can totally imagine Shoshanna telling Ray, “Don’t worry, it’s like, totally organic”

]]>Unable to resist a little cheeky fun, the Research and Development department here at Lucky Bloke have put together a list of top celebs and what kind of condoms you’d likely find in their nightstand. The results are sure to be entertaining.
Angelina Jolie. Although we’re pretty sure this globe-trotting, philanthropist, super-mom of six, is more interested in growing her number of progeny, we imagine she’d be a huge fan of the ONE Condom's Pleasure Dome. With extra space around the tip, this is a condom designed with ultimate pleasure and social consciousness in mind. A portion of each purchase goes to HIV prevention and treatment efforts in Africa - something we bet Angelina and Brad would be very happy to support.
Snooki. Judging by the little meatball she has in the oven, we’re guessing her Lucky Bloke condom subscription lapsed some time ago. However, next time she’s “DTF” we bet this Jersey starlet will be unwrapping a RFSU Profil “Magic” condom. Luxuriously ultrathin with Volvo like safety, the RFSU Profil is perfect for preventing future unexpected bambinos. An animal lover who is never willing to compromise on style, Snooki would be very happy to discover that the RFSU Profil comes in a black wrapper adorned with neon blue hearts and is completely vegan.
Kim Kardashian. This Reality TV Princess enjoys the finer things in life and would never be caught dead wearing the same outfit twice. She would likely expect the same from her lover. This is why we are sure she would enjoy the Crown Skinless Skin Condom in Assorted Colors. The latest in latex technology, these condoms are vibrant, ultra-thin and yet very strong. They come in red, green, yellow or blue - perfect for the fashionista who enjoys a bit of extra visual stimulation in the bedroom. [Update: now with her little fashionista on the way, we recognize her need for condoms has been shelved.]
Justin Bieber. Okay, we admit it, we're a little uncomfortable saying the words “Bieber” and “condom” in the same sentence. However, we all have to face it, the Bieb is growing up. Yep, he even recently told the press, “'People need to know I'm not a kid anymore.” He has a driver’s license! And a tattoo! We just hope that while he’s making promises of all the things he’d do “if he was your boyfriend”, he’s added “wrap it up” to the the list and picked up some of GLYDE Strawberry Ultra condoms. We're pretty confident that Scooter Braun, Bieb's socially conscious Manager-extraordinaire would appreciate the socially engaged Australian brand. We’re also fairly certain that the bubblegum pink packaging and super tasty strawberry flavor will resonate well with Bieb's devoted fans.
Jesse James. Perfect for the condom connoisseur who enjoys a lot of “variety” in their life, we guess that Jesse James would be a fan of ONE’s Mixed Pleasures. Each condom 6-pack includes an assortment of Tantric Pleasures, Super Sensitive, Pleasure Dome, Pleasure Plus, 576 Sensations, Zero, Glowing Pleasures, & FlavorWaves. Perfect for someone who is always looking for new experiences and enjoys a different “flavor of the week” (or day, or hour).
Ryan Gosling. “Hey Girl”, we’re willing to bet that this gallant and dashingly handsome Canadian superstar would be all about satisfying you. This is why you’d likely find a stash of Trojan Her Pleasure Ecstasy condoms in his nightstand. Ecstatically ribbed for her pleasure in mind, the extra roomy tip allows for a more natural feeling experience while the premium lubricant (inside and out!) makes for a smooth ride for all. Strong, sensitive, comfortable - perfect for his leading lady.

]]>The Research and Development department here at Lucky Bloke had a few moments to spare and decided to have some fun composing a list of key historical figures and what condoms they would have preferred if they'd been available during their time in history. The results are sure to entertain you.
Cleopatra. While the trendsetting Queen of the Nile was probably stuck with slave-made precursors of Trojan's NaturaLamb, in our age, we're certain she would enjoy ONE's Tantric Pleasures — a condom that's truly innovative and feels great inside and out! Tantric Pleasures, the first condom in the world created with tattoo-inspired texture for increased pleasure and an easy-rolling flared shape for added comfort, offers three tattoo-inspired designs. Considering her penchant for Greek lovers, Cleopatra's favorite would be Titan, of course!
Gandhi. The inspired activist Gandhi would immediately embrace the unparalleled, cruelty-free, socially engaged, fair trade condoms of GLYDE. GLYDE, the world's only certified Ethical and Vegan condom, is ultra-thin and comfortable, maximizing sensation for both partners without compromising strength and reliability. And, GLYDE is available in all three sizes (slimfit, ultra, and maxi), ideal for any modest revolutionary. (C'mon, who really knows what size Gandhi was under his dhoti?)
Queen Elizabeth I. Beautifully portrayed by Cate Blanchett, QE1 embodies the sexy, independent, powerful woman! Perhaps, she would prefer the FC2 Female condom, perfect no matter the size of her lover(s) ... or perhaps a Crown Skinless Skin — for who could pass up ultimate sensation and pleasure in combination with such a royal title?!
Genghis Khan. History and legend indicate the Great Khan clearly preferred sowing his seed, back in the day. Due to hordes of STIs and something called child support, we warmly recommend Billy Boy's Special Power to the Mongolian Emperor. This condom is built thicker for an extra layer of protection. In action, the extra strength of Special Power stands up to added friction and tension — providing greater reliability when things get rough, no matter what his (or your) adventure.
Marie Antoinette. The jury is still out on whether Marie Antoinette actually declared "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche." (or "Let them eat cake!"). However, we are quite certain that a woman known for decadence and great taste ... would never pass up on any of ONE's Flavor Waves. With options like Chocolate Strawberry, who could blame her?! Let them eat chocolate strawberries, indeed!
Ben Franklin. Well, given the whole key / kite / lightning / inventor thing ... we are certain Ben Franklin would prefer a condom that's at the very least ... more "stimulating." Thoughts of pleasure abound. So of course, we'd first suggest Lifestyles' Pleasure Shaped. (And then, if size warranted a different approach, Lifestyles 3Sum ... Yes, rumor has it, Ben was popular like that.)
Madame Curie. Bringing light to the mysteries of radioactivity, scientist Madame Curie became famous for her pioneering research in the field and was the first person honored with two Nobel Prizes (in physics and chemistry). This is a no-brainer ... surely Madame Curie would have enjoyed Glowing Pleasures (glow-in-the-dark) condoms!
Napoleon. Okay, jokes aside, we all realize that Napoleon would need to compensate and only buy TROJAN Magnums (which would surely have included Magnum Thin and Magnum Ecstasy) ... however, due to his expensive European tastes he would have actually preferred RFSU's Okeido (larger fit) even if he truly required RFSU's Mamba (snugger fit).
Albert Einstein. While Einstein's brain has often been the subject of research and speculation, he was a man first. And, well, even theoretical physicists need some personal time. Naturally, experiments are carried out to measure the thinnest condoms available. Durex Avanti Bare, TROJAN Bareskin, Kimono Microthin, and Lifestyles THYN are all strong contenders, yet it's relatively likely that Okamoto's 004 (brand new to the US market) would get Einstein's vote.
Shakespeare. Poet. Bard. Wordsmith. Romantic. It goes without saying that Lucky Bloke's Ultimate Condom Sampler would be required for Shakespeare's "many plays"... Yes, Lucky Bloke brings you the perfect introduction to the very best latex condoms available. Our LB: Condom Sampler offers a fab range of premium condom styles — pleasure-shaped, ultrathin, ribbed, studded — for you to try. The Sampler lets you explore condoms that include six best-sellers from brands like Kimono, Crown, GLYDE, Billy Boy, Durex, Lifestyles, RFSU, ONE, or Trojan. When Lucky Bloke announced Mission: Great Sex! and the call for Global Condom Reviews…well, of course, we responded. Who wouldn't want to try the top condoms from around the world for free? I mean it is all in the name of research, right? I had no idea how much condoms have changed and how changed my opinions would be.
Believe me, I never thought I'd be writing this article.
As a woman in a long term, committed relationship, I thought my days of using condoms in the bedroom were far, far behind me. I was thrilled about it too, since condoms have always represented “responsibility” to me, and while responsibility is paramount, there wasn't anything sexy about it. Condoms were purely functional, and when my friends and I would share sex stories, not once did anyone utter anything to the effect of, “And the condom made it SO much better.” During my carefree, single girl about town years, when I did the walk of shame more times than I'd like to admit, I always carried a standard, cheap Trojan condoms in the depths of my handbag because I was a good girl, damn it. Before things could get too hot, I'd demand he put it on, and I'd pray that he wouldn't be turned off by my request, since I'd long ago been told that “men hate condoms.”
Using a condom was something I had to do, simply because I could barely take care of a puppy at that time, let alone an actual, adorable human child and that whole pesky STD thing was hard to ignore.
To me, a condom was more than just a barrier between bodily fluids though. When my partner was wearing a condom, I felt a bit detached...as if I couldn't completely “feel” him. If a condom was present, it meant that this was not someone I was serious about, and so I put up emotional and spiritual barriers of my own in an effort to avoid connecting any deeper, and quite honestly, to avoid getting hurt or feeling guilty about my actions. Who knew a little bit of latex could have such a profound, and quite depressing, effect on my sex life?
Well, it was depressing until I received a package in the mail from Lucky Bloke! Suddenly, everything I thought and felt about condoms changed. I couldn't believe how many types of different condoms there were, and my boyfriend and I had a great time just reading the labels and basically “ooohing” and “awwwing” as we spread them out over the dining room table. It felt like a Condom Christmas, and I had most definitely been a good girl. Still, in the back of my mind I wondered if all these brightly colored packages would end up going to waste because in our two years together, my boyfriend and I had never even used a condom, opting instead for other forms of birth control and monogamy. I thought that despite how intriguing the packaging was I didn't want a barrier between us, and I feared it would take some of the pleasure out of sex, especially for him.
But heck, we figured...might as well give one a try. In the name of research!
Just like with anything new in the bedroom, it was a bit exciting...yes, I did just say that a condom was exciting. Our sex life had always thrilled me and we've never been afraid to think outside of the proverbial box, so it surprised me that something as simple, and seemingly pedestrian, as a condom was actually spicing our sex life up. So we tried one, and that night another...this pattern has gone on ever since. We don't use condoms all the time, but when we've both had a long day or are feeling a bit uninspired, we reach into the Lucky Bloke grab bag and see what we get. Trying out all the different condoms has encouraged us to talk about what's working and what's not. One of the most surprising things I've noticed is that the Mr. has yet to say that sex with a condom sucks in comparison to sex without one. The only thing he complains about is when he says they feel too small (heh).
The most important thing I've learned from this experience is that just because you've had certain attitudes and opinions on something since adolescence doesn't mean they can't change. Before, condoms were a nuisance that kept me safe, something I “had” to do if I wanted to go home with that hot bartender I'd just met, and a barrier protecting me from hurt when he didn't call the next day. Now, condoms are on the same level as a new sex toy, something I “want” to use in the bedroom with the man I love, and instead of being a barrier, they have succeeded in bringing us closer together.
Oh, and also?
The condoms make it SO much better.
It's about time someone said that.
Want to recreate Mission: Great Sex in your own bedroom? Try one of Lucky Bloke's Ultimate Condom Samplers: the Small Condom Sampler for the man who finds standard condoms a bit loose, Medium (standard size) Condom Samplers, or Large Condom Samplers for the man who find's standard condoms too tight.
Lucky Bloke extends a huge thank you to our friend in adventure and safety (and guest writer) Liz. Incredibly sexy, Liz just happens to be the social media manager for We Love Dates and No Strings Dating.
It truly is all about the size of the package ... but, not in the way that you might think.
It is time to take a stand regarding condom size.
A new study, published in the Journal of Sexual Health, provides an eye-opening global overview regarding condom use. The good news? Condom use is on the rise. The bad news? Many condom users unwittingly make serious mistakes when it comes to using and choosing the best condoms. And the majority of these failures are due to men wearing the wrong size condom!
Wait? There are different condom sizes? Absolutely.
If you are surprised to learn this, you are not alone.
Very few condom users are educated about the three different sizes of condoms available, as approved by the FDA:
Smaller, slimfit or snugger fit condoms - a more tailored condom required by 30-35% of men;
Medium, "regular", or "average" condoms - the standard condom, you'll find at most stores and required by 50% of men; and,
Large, Larger, or XL condoms - a larger fit in both length and girth, and required by only 15-20% of men.
This critical information is rarely a component of Sex Ed. Of course, in high school we're told that we must wear condoms when having sex, and we might even have witnessed a demonstration on a well-endowed banana. However, the dialogue stops there.
There are no conversations about what a condom should feel like when it is on, or important instruction that a new condom must be used for every sex act. (Yes, this means one for foreplay, one for intercourse, and another if the guy has ejaculated, but you are continuing to be intimate.) And these are the issues that circle back to prevalent errors in condom usage as called out in the Kinsey study.
When a standard condom is too small for a man at best he feels discomfort and loses his erection, at worst, the condom breaks. (He needs a larger or XL condom.)
When a standard condom is too large for a man at best it slips and slides, at worst leaking occurs or it comes off entirely. (He requires a smaller, slimfit, or snugger fit condom.)
Whether too big or too small, the man is focused on his discomfort. Both pleasure and safety are severely compromised.
Most condoms you can buy at your local store, of the free condoms distributed through public health, make it appear that one-size-fits-all. This couldn't be further from the truth!
Condom manufacturers need to take responsibility too. Trojan has created explosively popular branding with the Magnum franchise. Yet, only 15-20% of the men on the planet could even safely wear Magnum condoms. Trojan has set an alarming precedent. They do not even offer one smaller-sized condom option. Boutique brands have followed suit ignoring 30-35% of the population entirely.
Yes, up to 35% of men (and their partners) could be having safer and more pleasurable sex – armed with the best smaller condoms.
Conventional retail stores don't seem to understand the importance of size and fit. Their condom and personal lubricant selections are often limited and the differences between brands is obscure. If you want to buy the best condoms online, generally, it is no better. Many condom e-tailers force visitors to sort through hundreds of condom styles. Generally, these websites lack clear and concise size and quality guidance, and often offer inaccurate, misleading, or confusing information.
However, LuckyBloke.com offers a radically new approach to online condom buying.
And, it is integrated into a simple, refreshingly intuitive shopping experience. First, visitors are supported to discover their perfect condom size. Next, product messaging is clear, concise, and accurate. Since Lucky Bloke customers select size and fit first, the essential foundation for safety and pleasure is covered from the get-go.
Lucky Bloke customers can easily find and buy condoms and personal lubricants that meet their specific needs — all from the comfort and privacy of their home, dorm, or office.
